“Diagnosed With Life-Threatening Throat Infection When Recording My Second Album” – Teni Explains Long Absence From Music

Nigerian musician, Teniola Apata, know in showbiz as Teni has explained the reason behind her long absence from the music scenes this year.

In a video she posted online, Teni reveals that she was diagnosed of a life-threatening throat infection in July this year while recording her 2nd album.

According to the musician, there was a reoccurrence of the infection from time to time which got her hospitalized several times in the month of September.

In October 2023, she mildly recovered her voice and was still under treatment until in November when she’s fully back on stage.

The Doctor who was taking care of her was heard in the video saying she has had so many injectable and consoled the artistes.

Teni announced that she has also been able to shoot her full second album and will release it soon.

All through the video, Teni could be seen shedding tears from time to time.

The video she posted on her Instagram handle came with the caption, “WHEN YOU FINALLY GET TO HEAR THIS ALBUM, I WANT YOU TO LISTEN FROM YOUR HEART, EMBRACE IT WITH YOUR SOUL AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW, I GAVE IT MY ALL, SPOKE MY TRUTH, STRAIGHT FROM MY HEART, AGAISNT ALL ODDS. TEARS OF THE SUN”
