Some Ghanaians have on Monday, 13th November 2023, gathered o hold a funeral ceremony for Manchester United legend, Sir Bobby Charlton.
The funeral which was organized by the Ghana Supporters Union, was held at Tesano, in the Greater Accra Region and coincided with the Funeral of the football legend in England.
In videos of the funeral that have gone viral, the Ghanaians are seen clouded in funereal cloths with the images of the late Sir Bobby’s Banner and pictures there as a representation of his mortal remains.
They took turns to file past the mounted images and pay their last respect to the English legend.
On Saturday 21st October 2023, Sir Bobby Charlton passed away from complications of a fall he sustained at the nursing home where he resided and was being given care.
The Manchester United legend died at the age of 86.
The Ghana Supporters Union are yet to explain the reasons for which they organized the funeral in Ghana.
