Grammy Recording Academy Describes Burna Boy As The Biggest Star In Afrobeats And The Whole Africa
The Grammy Recording Academy has described Nigerian music artiste, Burna Boy as the biggest musician in Afrobeats and the whole Africa.
The Academy put out this description when it released the nominations list for the 66th Grammy Awards.
On Friday, November 10th 2023, the Grammy Recording Academy released the list of nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards.
In the list, Burna Boy, bagged four nominations.
The Recording Academy wrote an article about the African Giant and in the introductory part of it stated, “There’s not a bigger star in Afrobeats, or even the whole of Africa itself, than Burna Boy.”
The article also highlighted other African artists received nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards, including Davido as one of the Top 3 biggest Afrobeats artists of in recent times, amd acknowledged the hard work and talent constantly being put in by the super stars all these years.
Apart from Burna Boy and Davido, Asake, Olamide, and Ayra Starr, all Nigerian artists, received their very first nominations in various categories.
