Some Ghanaians have expresses so much proudness due to the fact that, Comfort Yeboah, a player for Apem Dorkoa Ladies expressed herself in the Twi language in a post-match interview with international Media.

On Monday 6th November, 2023, Ghana Women’s Premier League side, Apem Dorkoa Ladies clashed with Morocco’s AS FAR Rabat in their opening fixture of the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League.

Morocco’s AS FAR Rabat took the lead with a goal in the first half of the game until Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ Comfort Yeboah took a darin strike when a ball from the corner spot landed before her with no player tackling her.

She eventually found the net and gave Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies an equalizer in the 57th minutes.

Nouhaila Benzina went on to add a second goal in the 62nd minute of the game and secured a victory for the Ghanaian side.

Comfort Yeboah was awarded Woman of the Match and as traditional, she was required to grant an interview to CAF TV.

Because she wasn’t very fluent in the English language, comfort chose to speak the Ghanaian local language, Twi and had an interpreter to translate it into English and vice versa.

Some Ghanaians have been applauding her for such a gesture.
