“She is Richer than Hakimi but Hakimi’s mom is Richer than her”- Brotherhood reacts to Achraf Hakimi’s ex-wife saying she’s richer than him
In a recent social media post that has caused quite a stir, Hiba Abouk, the wife of Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi, seemed to have shaded her husband in a thinly-veiled reference to their ongoing divorce proceedings.
The post, which was accompanied by the Destiny Child’s hit song “Survivor,” featured a picture of the Spanish actress in all her glory. Portions of the song’s lyrics sung, “Now that you’re out of my life, I’m so much better. You thought that I’d be weak without you, but I’m stronger. You thought that I’d be broke without you, but I’m richer. You thought that I’d be sad without you, I laugh harder.”
This led to a lot of reactions from fans, with one tweeting, “She is Richer than Hakimi but Hakimi’s mom is Richer than her,” while another wrote, “One thing she said that was true, was the fact that she’s richer than Hakimi.”
The couple had been married since 2020 and have two children together. However, Abouk filed for divorce in March of 2023, around the same time that her husband was accused of rape by a French lady.
Reports suggest that the 36-year-old actress has demanded half of Hakimi’s properties as part of the divorce settlement. However, she was allegedly informed by the Court that her millionaire husband owns nothing, as all his properties are registered in his mother’s name.
It remains to be seen how this high-profile divorce case will play out, but it is clear that the social media post by Abouk has certainly ruffled some feathers. Only time will tell what the future holds for this celebrity couple.
