UK- Based Ghanaian Boxer Freezy Arrives In Ghana, Welcomed By Mahama’s Son

United Kingdom-based Ghanaian boxer Freezy Macbones who became popular after a sensational win over Darryl Sharp in the ring earlier this year has arrived in Ghana.

Seth Gyimah as he’s originally called is in the country to represent Ghana officially for the first time at the international level.

The boxer will join Ghana’s Amateur Boxing Team, the Black Bombers to Senegal early next month to take part in the Olympic games qualifiers which will come on in Paris next year.

Freezy and his family were warmly welcomed at the Kotoka International Airport by the son of former President John Dramani Mahama, Sharaf Mahama and other leaders of the Ghana Boxing Federation.

The boxer will pitch camp with the Black Bombers to start a special residential camping ahead of the Olympic games in France.

Upon his arrival, Freezy expressed joy in returning home and gratitude to the leadership of the Ghana Boxing Federation.

He promised to help the team with the knowledge he has obtained in the UK and was optimistic of them winning lots of medals, especially gold medals.
